We recently had to permanently close stand-alone restroom facilities at the far end of our cemetery due to on-going vandalism.
Some members of our cemetery board objected to the closing stating we should provide this service to our visitors.
Two questions: 10 1) Do any of your dioceses have restroom facilities for your cemetery visitors? 2) If so, are they designed for vandalism and /or limited access?

Good afternoon, We have an office and service shop onsite, our restrooms are within that space and only available during office hours to the visitors

Feel free to contact Scott Hanley (scott.hanley@archny.org) who is the Director of Cemeteries at the Trustees of St. Patrick’s Cathedral or Andrew Nagel (andrew.nagel@archny.org) who manages Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. I am sure they can provide some insight on this challenge.

Denver cemeteries have public restrooms that are available only during cemetery visiting hours.
They have not had any vandalism.

We do not offer public facilities at our cemeteries. Some of our boards would like to provide this convenience but have not been able to manage the costs of construction and maintenance.
