The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston would like to know if anyone has developed your own, or know of the existence of, a pre-determined fee structure, sliding scale, or matrix that your diocese uses to set and cap fees for architectural service.

In Florida we use the DMS fee calculator and usually adjust it for the current market. Historically, most faith based Firms or ones that want to develop more religious work into their portfolio are willing to reduce their fee by 0.5%-1.0%. Below is the link:

Deanna, I’ve attached a spreadsheet of our fee schedule for St. Louis. Adjustable for the different range of projects – smaller projects have a larger %, larger projects have a smaller %. As Hung has indicated, we also negotiate the fee, but this is a good starting point for us. This is our template for fully designed projects, Design, Bid, Build. We make adjustments for and Design-Build portions of the work. Hope this helps.
